Apple’s former CEO, Steve Jobs, hailed the iPad as revolutionary when he unveiled the device in January, saying it would carve out a place between smart phones and laptop computers. The Wall Street Journal followed up saying it could change portable computing profoundly and challenge the primacy of the laptop.
Sales and reviews since then have proven all that, with 3.3 million iPads sold in the first quarter, backed up with 200,000 apps for iPads, this new revolution in computer technology has been firmly entrenching itself for the long run. Although many have complained about the new iPad’s lack of Flash would be a major issue; Apple were smart enough to resolve the problem soon enough.
