3 Major Reasons Why Every Blogger Should Learn HTML and CSS

Without HTML and CSS knowledge, you’re stuck with the basic design and functionality of your blog’s template and setup, unless you hire a blog designer to help you. And if you just started your own blog and yet don’t have so much money, hiring a blog designer or a webmaster would be your least priority. However, bloggers who take the time to learn HTML (HyperText Markup Language) and CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) can easily take their blog to the next level with little to no monetary investment.

You would definitely not regret all the times you would consume trying and learning a little bit of coding if you knew you could possibly get these benefits…

Blog Layout and Design Overhaul. Nothing could be rewarding than giving your blog a complete overhaul yourself! Imagine making your blog do exactly what you want it to do and look exactly the way you want it to at any time. Switch blog applications, modify its functionality and remove limiting widgets and plugins without fear.

Modify Plug-ins and Add-ons. There is probably a variety of third-party plug-ins or add-ons that you can add to your blog to make it look or perform the way you want it to. If you learn HTML and CSS, you’ll be able to do so much more with plug-ins and add-ons than you ever dream possible.

Save Time. Save Money. Make Money. It can not only save you time, but it can save you money as well. If you can make the small tweaks to your webpage, then you don’t have to pay a webmaster to do it for you. They do cost a lot of money and the charge for every little change. Plus once you learn HTML and CSS, you can help other bloggers design or modify their own blogs for a fee.

HTML and CSS are indispensable for website designing — a fact that cannot be denied. Without these two wonderful languages, it is not possible for every blogger and webmaster to design a website and make it live.

  1. I agree with everything you said, but let me add a few more points.

Visual editors can sometimes jumble up formatting, resulting in the need to switch to HTML view anyways and fixing the code yourself.

If you’re working with developers, you’ll be better able to communicate your needs and understand their abilities and constraints.
